Double Mastectomy (DMX) Surgery

Sorry it’s been so long folks. It’s been a little over a week since surgery. Things went as well as to be expected. Dr. Walcott was able to get all of the cancer with good margins and the lymph nodes had yet to be infected with the cancer. WIN WIN!

Mike has been incredible at helping every step of the way. I feel horrible for those that don’t have a person they can count on through this crappy journey.

The days have melded together.  Who needs to know what day it is anyway?

Drains were pulled today!!! If you know anyone that has gone through this the drains are the pits. I’m so excited to see them go.

Now it’s to learn how to adjust to my new normal and allow my body to continue to heal.

Next Wednesday I’ll be getting my chemo port place, and on Friday we’ll meet with Dr Topp to get the schedule for when we start killing off any squatters that may be playing hide and seek.

Thanks to everyone for sending well wishes, flowers, and prayers. The out pouring support has been amazing.
